Frequently asked questions

Do you build custom cabinets or sell stock cabinets?

We build custom cabinets. Every cabinet is made in our shop to the dimensions of your room, in the wood, door style, and finish you choose, rather than fit from stock sizes.

What does the process look like?

Call the shop and describe the project. We schedule one initial consultation of up to three hours to measure, research, and understand what you need. We prepare an initial design for you to explore in a secure, account-gated 3D viewer and provide one free estimate when the design is ready to price. After contract and down payment, we release the project drawings, build and finish the cabinetry in our shop, and install it.

What is included in the initial design phase?

The initial design phase includes one consultation of up to three hours, secure 3D visualization access, and one free estimate. Each additional design revision round is $100. Revision charges are credited toward the project cost if you sign a contract. Project drawings are released after contract and down payment.

What woods, door styles, and finishes can I choose?

You choose the wood species, the door style, and the finish, whether that is stain, paint or a clear coat. Finishes are applied in our shop. Available wood species include hickory, red oak, quarter-sawn red or white oak, white oak, rift white oak, maple, poplar, walnut, and cherry. Additional wood species available upon request.

Do you build face-frame or frameless cabinets?

Both. Face-frame construction is the traditional method with a hardwood frame on the front of each box; frameless (European) construction gives cleaner lines and more usable interior space.

Do you make countertops too?

Yes. We fabricate and install laminate countertops. We provide cultured marble, granite, and quartz countertops in a variety of stone colors.

Do you do commercial work?

Yes. We build reception desks, bars, serveries, display cabinets, office cabinets, and store fixtures for hotels, restaurants, and retail environments.

What areas do you serve?

We build for clients across Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Kentucky.

Do you install the cabinets, or only build them?

We design and build your cabinets to your needs. Installation services are available. Our goal is to accommodate our customers and their projects.
